The Changing Earth Behind the Scenes: Day After Disaster Young Adult Edition

I was at "The Christmas in Cool" event a couple of weekends ago when I was approached by a teenager who desperately wanted to read my book. I have been followed around by this teenager whenever I am at an event around my home. She is just one of many teenagers who approach me and ask if they can get a copy of my book Day After Disaster but her persistence encouraged me to make an edition of Day After Disaster that is appropriate for teenagers.

Day After Disaster is an exciting apocalyptic story about a young woman, wife and mother who is separated from her family when all heck brakes loose and she must journey back to her home in the foothills to see if they survived. Given that it is an apocalyptic survival story, when I originally wrote the story I wanted to have it as realistic as possible. A couple of scenes are sexually explicit.

As a Christian woman, when teenagers approached me and wanted to purchase the book, I did not feel right about selling this content to a young individual. I read the book to my own son but I edited these scenes as I read. I would have to talk to their parents and see if it was okay with them but deep down it didn't feel right. As the teenagers kept persuading me to sell them this book it made it obvious to me that I needed to do something. So I took the story and softened the sexual scenes to make them appropriate for teen readers.

Now everyone can enjoy the adventure! Order your copy!
